Karyu Intelligence

How we score.

A ranking is only worth something if it is fair, repeatable and checkable. This page explains exactly what we measure, where it comes from and how a firm can correct it.

The Karyu Score

Each firm receives a score out of 100, made up of five pillars weighted equally. Within each pillar, every measure is compared with the rest of the sector in the same market, so a law firm is judged against law firms and a Sydney clinic against Sydney clinics.

Found: Can buyers find you?

Search visibility for the terms your buyers use, your map listing, review count and rating, and how often you appear against named competitors.

Fast: Does the site load before they leave?

Real Core Web Vitals from Chrome users, mobile speed, page weight and server response time.

Trusted: Does it look alive and safe?

Security, freshness of content and copyright year, structured data, contact details and proof such as case studies and accreditations.

Responsive: Do you answer when they ask?

How long it takes to reply to an enquiry form and an email, whether the phone is answered, and the quality of the first reply. Measured by mystery shopping.

Converting: Does the visit turn into an enquiry?

A clear offer above the fold, calls to action on every page, short forms, booking or quote paths, and live chat or messaging.

Sources

We use official and public sources first: Google’s public Chrome UX Report and PageSpeed data, search and map results, business registries, and each firm’s own website. Response measures come from our own mystery shopping, carried out the same way for every firm in a board. We respect robots rules and the terms of the sources we use.

Every number has a receipt

Each measure stores the source it came from and the date it was checked. Subscribers can open any number and see both.

Refresh cadence

  • Daily: website speed, site changes, listings and job advertisements.
  • Weekly: search and map visibility.
  • Quarterly: mystery shopping of enquiry forms, email and phone.

Fairness and corrections

Scores describe public online presence and responsiveness only. They are not a judgement on the quality of any firm’s professional work. Public pages show sector averages for response measures, never named results. Any firm can claim its profile, correct factual details and request a review of a measure, and we reply within five working days.

What we never do

  • Publish personal information about staff.
  • Sell a better score. Rankings cannot be bought.
  • Share a subscriber’s watchlist with anyone.
